Is this a snow report?
No. Snow reports tell you what's open today. Open Lifts adds the part nobody else publishes: a real historical and (limited, experimental) forward view of how much of a resort tends to be running on a given week, so you can compare resorts and dates before you book — see Why Open Lifts.
How accurate is the forecast?
Honestly: not yet accurate enough to trust for booking. Our model is real but experimental — it hasn't cleared our own ≥75% accuracy bar, and a plain historical average currently beats it on the split that matters most. Every number it produces is labelled experimental, and the full scorecard is public at /accuracy.
What's free, and what do I pay for?
Today's status, weather, and pass prices are free for every resort, always. Anything forward-looking — Compare, Season shape, Best week, and the full ranked shortlist — is paid. Full breakdown at /pricing.
Can I buy a pass right now?
Not yet — there is no live payment provider wired into this build. The prices shown are the real ones the product is designed around, not placeholders.
Do you guarantee snow or opening dates?
No, and we never will. A snow guarantee is a regulated financial product, not something a data site can offer. Every range on this site is a real historical estimate, always labelled as one, never a promise.
Which resorts do you cover?
A small, curated set while the underlying data pipeline and model are proven out — see Explore resorts for the current list. Coverage grows only where real, licensed data supports it — never by adding a resort with invented numbers.
